I would like to thank the people who posted birthday wishes on my wall even when I may not have talked to them for the past year, and not more than a few times before that.. really. thanks!

feature idea: a textbox for your email address. "notify me when someone posts from the same location or tag: (usc username)". we won't send you spam, your username will never be publicly displayed, and you can easily unsubscribe at any time

oh, i've seen the six minute project before. it's a pretty cool idea, but i honestly don't find many of the pictures interesting. here are some other projects/collectives that might be fun to check out: http://pictu

This question already showed up once!
411posted from the SAL Computer Lab about 2 years, 10 months ago
The seed is always initialized the same, so the sequence is always the same but the second game is different than the third and so on. (if you don't turn it off)
410posted from on-campus about 2 years, 10 months ago
@401: Yes, we debounced with an additional state. The main trick was breaking down each set of SSDs and the buttons into its own component and then just implementing 4 of those components. The patterns involved rotating a "random" number.
409posted from on-campus about 2 years, 10 months ago
i'm not.. it just takes too much time.. the marshall curve is the way all business school course grades are curved to a 3.0 average or something..

is anyone going to do the six minute project? http://www.sixminuteproject.com
407posted from VKC about 2 years, 10 months ago
I have no idea what the Marshall curve is
406posted from VKC about 2 years, 10 months ago
that took me awhile. there's no "f" in way.
405posted from the SAL Computer Lab about 2 years, 10 months ago
Take the "c" out of can't and the "f" out of way............ Think about it...

i'm in SLH 100 waiting for phys 163 to start....another two hours of nap time about to be chalked up for today
402posted from on-campus about 2 years, 10 months ago
@400: that's totally awesome. how did you design the patterns-- was it the same every time? how did you detect button presses-- did you have a separate state depending on whether the button was pressed (thru the debouncer state machine)?
401posted from Marks Hall about 2 years, 10 months ago
I did DDR with 4 buttons last semester using the SSD and it kicked ass. We were able to implement it with only 2 pages of schematics.

396posted from Leavey Library about 2 years, 10 months ago
@393: you're working on it in Leavey?
395posted from on-campus about 2 years, 10 months ago
@392: wasn't it adequately explained on the front page?
394posted from on-campus about 2 years, 10 months ago
@391: i thought its gonna be so easy (the pin thingie), but it turns out to be incredibly hard (like 15 pages of schematics... and im not nearly done); your ddr sounds intense; ohh well hopefully ill be done for that presentation tomorrow
393posted from Leavey Library about 2 years, 10 months ago
so what is the point of this thing?
392posted from off-campus about 2 years, 10 months ago
@390: that sounds complex. we're still a long way off from a working DDR. the other people here are doing better, but not by much.
391posted from on-campus about 2 years, 10 months ago
@ 389: a lock with 3 compartments; 4 digits programmable pin #s; when you enter a pin the selected compartment opens;
390posted from Leavey Library about 2 years, 10 months ago
@387: what's your project? I'm trying to do DDR. a really simple version with 2 buttons.
