The seed is always initialized the same, so the sequence is always the same but the second game is different than the third and so on. (if you don't turn it off)

@401: Yes, we debounced with an additional state. The main trick was breaking down each set of SSDs and the buttons into its own component and then just implementing 4 of those components. The patterns involved rotating a "random" number.

@400: that's totally awesome. how did you design the patterns-- was it the same every time? how did you detect button presses-- did you have a separate state depending on whether the button was pressed (thru the debouncer state machine)?

I did DDR with 4 buttons last semester using the SSD and it kicked ass. We were able to implement it with only 2 pages of schematics.

@393: you're working on it in Leavey?

@392: wasn't it adequately explained on the front page?
| 394 | posted from on-campus about 1 year, 2 months ago |
|
@391: i thought its gonna be so easy (the pin thingie), but it turns out to be incredibly hard (like 15 pages of schematics... and im not nearly done); your ddr sounds intense; ohh well hopefully ill be done for that presentation tomorrow
|
so what is the point of this thing?
| 392 | posted from off-campus about 1 year, 2 months ago |
|
@390: that sounds complex. we're still a long way off from a working DDR. the other people here are doing better, but not by much.

@387: what's your project? I'm trying to do DDR. a really simple version with 2 buttons.
